People are still trying to fit sustainability into "business as usual", but the truth is sustainability is anything but business s usual. And you're right, when people begin to come to grips with the depth and breadth of the changes that are necessary, vendors who have done their homework and developed innovative solutions will do very well, and those that attempt to address the new reality with buzzwordy marketing will go the way of the dinosaurs.

Thank you for highlighting an area (I'm sure there are others) where IT can and will make a meaningful contribution to sustainability.
