You forgot the biggest sign ....
... actually wanting to be an IT manager.

Lets face it ... if you want to be an IT manager, you really don't have what it takes to be one.

Real management material would never "volunteer" for a job that no matter how much good you do, you will be hatted by everybody and would never get a good review from your peers.
