What are you saying?
Are you suggesting that Twitter has nothing to learn from outside security people? 20 years security experience is not always the definition of an expert. It is experience in countering attacks over the last six months that is important.

Blogging is all about giving unsolicited advice. Twitter and FaceBook are free to ignore the advice proffered, just as TJX ignored advice from security bloggers post the Lowes incident. TJX could afford the $200 million right down. Can Twitter afford to ignore obvious security measures?

Nice point about the trouble tickets though. It looks like Twitter has their own internal advice mechanism. One they chose to ignore as well.
