FriendEvent
I work in a corporate environment where about every website on earth is pretty much banned. So i began searching the web for some smaller social networks that may fly under the radar (at least for now) that a few co-workers and I could join.

It was interesting actually. Speaking about enterprise social networking and social networking used to drive biz objectives, i found a site called FriendEvent (www.friend-event.com).

Its actually a really neat idea. Its an online calendar with a social networking spin. Basically you have the whole social networking aspect, but the site itself is really geared towards being able to see what your friends, family, CO-WORKERS, etc. have planned, and you can share your events with them (in this case, work related events).

I really think FriendEvent would be a great tool in the workplace for co-workers to interact in a friendly non-work type of environment and see what others in the office have on their work calendar for their day/week/month.
