Twitter should have a lot of money left over if this happens
I would hope that twitter would not spend more the $3 million for Summize, leaving it with plenty of money to rebuild the network. Summize is definitely nice. I started using it when the Replies went dead, now I use it packaged directly into the newest twitter AIR client, TweetDeck. That combo makes tracking though IM/SMS [both of which are still down] obsolete.

I think that Ev and Biz realize that system stability is definitely priority #1 and they are taking small steps to rectify it. I am staying with twitter through the thick and thin, while having a presence on jaiku, plurk, kwippy, pownce and Identi.ca. The last being the new kid on the block and the only other microblog that I regularly check.
