My kids know Linux, OSX, and XP, and will obviously learn Windows 7, but
skip Vista, though they will have contact with
Vista. My son prefers OSX, my daughter Ubuntu.

But, just like every kid should be taught at
least two languages at home, they should also
learn multiple OSes. Learning multiple OSes
deepens their understanding of operating systems
and technology. And, by the way, all of you
ugly Americans, there IS more than one language
spoken in the world.
