As far as I can tell Cucku is not designed to do "bare metal" restores, I.E., restore applications and OS settings in registry, etc. When you install the application, it searches all your directories for data files of various different formats (Office files, MP3, Videos, PDF, image files, etc) and and creates a default backup set. You can also create your own custom backup directories for inclusion as well, such as your outlook data files, ZIP files, etc.

If you had to restore your files from a dead system, you'd need to install Windows, Skype, Cucku, and any apps that you lost.

For a "baremetal" backup I'd look into a solution like Acronis.
