That's great, but . . .
That's great - but having a strong history by no means guarantees you'll be popular in the future. It only means you'll have your name written in some book that an 8th grader will read and forget by the time they get to 10th grade.

If IBM wants to be big in the future, they should give up their hands-off "consulting" approach and buy back Lenovo. They need to get theirs hands dirty again and actually work on technology rather than merely discussing it with other people.

Otherwise, history books are the only place you'll find IBM.
