The ignorance of 39-year-old whippersnappers.

IBM did not create the PC. The company gathered off-the-shelf parts as a special project. True, IBM's name helped make them acceptable to businesses, much as Linux benefitted from IBM's endorsement, but that doesn't make IBM the creator of PCs.
