That store's managaement or Apple?
So - was the management at that AT&T store at fault for choosing to punish customers who had other activities besides purchasing an iPhone or was it Apple's Epic iFail (you know - some mandate that Apple had telling AT&T stores to make customers stand outside? I think not...)

After stories of how AT&T stores handled the first phone, I'm a little surprised that anyone would go to them to purchase a 3G version of the phone.

The other odd thing about your article is saying how you knew fanatics would be there very early waiting for phones - and then seemed shocked they were sold out and you couldn't reserve one?

And the bit about the ten year old - I take it you find it alarming of her age and her wait time - but um, was that a good call by parents to bring their child? Or Apple's fault?

There is no doubt there were serious glitches and overloads with Apple's system. Does this excuse what management decisions were made by the local AT&T store you went to? Not really. Most of the complaints in this article seemed more geared towards the management of that store and just trying to push a few reasons to fit a pre-picked out article title.

Was this really an Epic iFail? Doesn't seem like it.
