The success of iTunes shows ....
... that people will pay for a product if the cost is reasonable and they have CHOICES.

Most music CDs now a day have a SINGLE song that is worth listening to. The reason people started stealing music was because the industry was forcing them to buy a $15-$20 CD for a single song. No wonder college students (how are usually hard for cash) started looking into ways to get the music they like .... sharing was cheaper than buying an expensive CD to get just one song.
