Incompetent Leadership
Skype is led by a neophyte CEO that has no clue how to run a company, let alone a company with multiple operations.

If John Donahoe had his head in the game at any level, he would have long ago realized that Skype did not own the software rights and that they were licensed. A competent CEO would have had a team developing replacement software long before now so it would have been ready to implement before this issue arose.

This guy wanted to sell off Skype, now it appears it is entirely possible that Skype will die of neglect.

Due to incompetent leadership, it appears eBay will be left holding the bag for a 2.8 Billion dollar disaster which could have been easily avoided if the CEO was paying attention.

eBay's marketplace is crumbling, PayPal IT has issues, Skype may soon lose its core operating software.

Given the history of failures in his 18 month tenure, it is apparent that John Donahoe is in over his head and needs to be replaced by a much more qualified leader that can handle the multiple faces which comprise the eBay brand.

Donahoe's plan seems to be to let everything run into the ground, take charge offs, and then try to sell off what is left.

It is clear at this point that John Donahoe is not qualified to successfully lead this company going forward.

The eBay Board of Directors needs to take action and replace this rookie CEO with someone that has the brains and talent to run a company with many dis similar customer facing divisions.

Cutting John Donahoe loose and giving his team their golden parachutes has to cost less than they will lose if their various businesses are allowed to continue to be imploded by incompetent leadership.
