Cost go down and effciency goes up after a while.

Most technology costs goes down as time goes
by. 50+ in HDTV a 10 years ago costs mored than
10K, now you can buy them at less 1500. Cost of
new technology is always expensive but they get
cheaper in time...

THIN televisions where popularized with PLAZMA
technology are now replaced with LCD with much
much lower power consumption...and we are
headed to OLED technology where power usage
would really be minimal.

Heck light bulbs started with a big power
draw...and now we have LED lights that merely
takes a watt of power to get it working...

The visions are concepts, you first need to
create and invent them. As more people support
and use it, other people will find to make them
better...
