YouTube blocks UK... then China blocks YouTube: diplomatic mess

Take a leaf out of Monty Python's book: The Python response to pirate clips on YouTube was to publish their own clips and to advertise Python merchandise on any page with Python content.

The result? Lots of Monty Python clips on YouTube and a huge boost in sales of their merchandise. They'd realised that YouTube provides them with an advertising opportunity second to none.
