Those developpers who optimized for IE6 or 7 and now see their sites obfuscated have only themselves to blame. Those who accomodated (more) standards compliant browsers such as Safari and Mozilla can congratulate themselves, the task is now even easier.
Standards are a good thing, for users and developpers alike. Kudos to MSFT for releasing a IE8, their best browser ever AND their most standards compliant browser. I think Mozilla and Safari really have to worry about market share now.
