Which is exactly
why I don't have facebook, myspace or any other "social" web site. It's not just the security of your personal information and self, but also your very self security. If someone gets really torqued at you, they know where you work, go to school and general area where you live AND they have your photo to boot!

Has it happened yet? Dunno, hard to tell with all the other garbage being spewed in the media. But the bottom line is you open your arse up to a whole new level of hurt. I don't even allow my phone number to be listed in the phone book anymore.

I and my family maintain as much anonymity as reasonably possible. Personally I feel that people who insist on putting their life on the web in facebook or whatever the latest is, well they lack some serious self esteem and are hoping to assuage it via the web.

It's one thing if you are promoting a business but just to advertise your personal and many times private life? I don't get it. From a personal security standpoint it's insane. devil
