Remember Avatars?: Everyone was going to have one. The next cool thing.

Then there was second life... Everyone was going live virtually sitting in their basement, with an IV drip giving them essential nutrients -- either that, or beer and pizza.

Now once again, the next big thing: Vivaty and scenes and "rich" web content. Spare me.
