1/10 Breaks Easily

Can_D_Man001 - 03/16/09

As an owner of the Transpod (now called the Transdock Classic) I enjoyed the really clear FM transmitter signal that the little device provided. So when I bought a new 2nd Gen iPod Touch, and I had to purchase a new transmitter that would work with it, I naturally looked to DLO's new top of the line product the TransDock with IntelliTune. I had problems with the device from the start! First of all, this model has removed a feature that they used to have that I loved: the usb phone charger port! The old cradle had one on the side that I could use to charge my phone...gone now! On to the next problems. The cradle had to be unplugged and plugged in to have the iPod be recognized. I later found that if you had the iPod in the cradle when the car was off and then left it in during the starting of the car, the transmitter wouldn't work. The IntelliTune button worked for a while, and I was delighted that I wouldn't have to manually advance my way through all of the station options looking for a gap in the chatter. However this feature has failed as well now. When pressed, the intelliTune button will reset the whole device, and start me back at the first station on the dial. The thing is a piece of junk. I called customer service and was told that they only have a three month warranty! And if you have problems outside of that, they have no repair centers, so you just have to throw it away and get a new one.
