As to the blood diamonds
They were never kept 'out of the market'. They
were just 'washed' through numerous middlemen
and bought by smaller companies who did not
adhere to the standards that the Kimberly thing
set.

It's time to realize that the 'blood diamond'
trade wasn't even diminished ONE WHIT by that
Kimberly initiative, and never would have been.

It's the same foolishness as with the drug
trade: prohibition in order to serve 'social
ideals' that just leads to more problems in the
long run.
