He's not joking. We've already hit some fundamental limitations with heat - and IMHO it's not long before we start hitting more physical limitations. I don't think Moore's law will last my entire lifetime, and I have doubts about whether more exotic technologies can really save us. They too may only last a short time before hitting physical limitations.

Sorry, Moore's "law" is not really a law at all. There is nothing saying that it must last forever.
