Do any of you realize that analysts get paid to GUESS about things?

So here we have a bunch of idiot analysts GUESSING what might, or might not, happen regarding Verizon and the Palm Pre. Give me a break.

It's like the report I heard in Bloomberg TV the other morning. The talking heads were all a twitter (this is the old meaning...not the lame social networking twitter) over some "analyst" statement that "he had a feeling that the economy would get better". A feeling? And this a$$hole probably makes a seven figure income for his "feelings".

No wonder the financial markets are in the toilet.
