I bought the update, and was happy to do so.
I would prefer that the update should have been
free though, but there are features that I like
to have in the update, that I can now use. Like
the pairing of BT stereo headphones, Multiple
calendar support from different sources,
connecting my youtube account, the search
feature, Which I have used several times now to
find e-mail squirreled away in my exchange
account. Multiple contact lists, Personal vs
Exchange, and of course push notification for
the messaging apps.

So while I think the upgrade should be free,
spending $10 for the additional features didn't
break the camels back, and was well worth it.
