These are very interesting times. There have been a lot of false starts
with desktop Linux. Just when we finally think that Linux has broken into the desktop market (as with Netbooks), MS figures out a way to snuff out Linux. The one bright spot is Firefox continuing to grow, with MS unable to stop it, only slow it. But, with so many people trying for so many years, and the Linux kernel advancing so rapidly in the last years, and the Desktop advancing so rapidly, eventually something will give. With the Google brand on a netbook, this will only increase consumer knowledge of Linux, but, it will probably not be what finally gives Linux a lasting critical mass on desktop computer.

Whatever else is true, this is fun to watch.
