BlackBerry Curve 8900 available at AT&T on May 22

Battery Life (Fair) / Rebate ? (Maybe)

I'm a T-mobile customer who has used the Blackberry Curve 8900 since March '09. I do not have the internet, so can't tell you how it works...although loading up pages for downloading ringtones takes about a minute.

Battery Life

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 advertises '15 days of battery life'. After two issues and talking with BlackBerry reps....that's 15 days of 'standby' time - not using the phone at all. Myself and a T-Mobile rep. find the battery lasts about a day. The battery does charge in about two-three hours, which is a plus. You also get the BlackBerry Desktop app. to synch. your phone on your computer desktop via a USB cable.

Rebate ?

Well, I didn't get the $100 rebate and here's why -- you either have to sign up for the internet or a messaging bundle (at least on T-Mobile) to qualify for the rebate. I don't know about At&t's contract - they may require you to sign up for the internet. (I know that Verizon Wireless customers who purchase a BlackBerry phone (most BlackBerry phones) are required to sign up for the internet bundle.
