My grandmother is 99, will be 100 in July 09 (Yay G'ma!) and she's like many elderly, using a walker not just for 'stability' but more importantly for balance and support. She actually supports part of her weight with her arms when using the walker. If something like this is really going to work for the elderly, it needs to take on the role of physically supporting the body and providing stability and balance in addition to any 'help' with walking.

This is great stuff, but we're not quite there yet.
