I know most people ...
.. consider IT workers as a bunch of incompetent people. But they forget the shear amount of work stress they have to put up on a daily basis.

IT is the never ending job where no matter how much good work a person does, it is never appreciated or rewarded. He/she can fix 1000 problems in one day, but it only takes a single unfinished unimportant task to get complains.

Only incompetent people who know that they are about to get fired would sabotage a system either to cause problems to the company or just out of shear incompetence (ie: didn't know what he/she was doing).

The majority off people in IT are very responsible professionals with no hidden agendas.
