I have a desktop at home that is connected wirelessly; never had a problem with Vista dropping the connection (I used to have WEP and then changed to WPA2 and both worked fine).
then i bought a new acer laptop for my wife and it was fine at first but when i moved my router to WPA2, it started droppiong the connection. I searched for updated drivers but couldn't find anything newer than more than 1.5 years old. Anyways, switched her computer to WPA instead of WPA2 (my router allows both to work at the same time) and it did the trick. The hardware vendors really need to get their act together. - Posted by: reverseswing Posted on: 06/17/08 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
