RE: Network Magic simplifies tasks for home users
I'm a light-weight computer user and I couldn't get my network to work unless I left off all security measures.

I bought and installed Network Magic for my 3 WIN XP Pro (SP2) units (pre SP3). Although NM worked as advertised, I noticed a lot of overhead and activity all the time on the internet that was not there before. It brought my internet connection (broadband) to a crawl. I could only assume that NM was the cause and that maybe it was key logging or just keeping up with where I went and what I searched.

I removed the program and all of the excess internet activity ceased. But, After uninstalling NM my network was back to not working.

I want a program that will setup the network like I want it and even if I uninstall it I want it to give me the option of keeping the network configuration.

Is NM spy ware? I'd sure like to know. Until then it?s a thumbs down for me.
