To me digital camera pricing is way out of hand.
The specs for this camera as do the latest Nikon high end DSLRs are
impressive. What is amazing is the $3,000 to over $5,000 cost. To me
it is more important to put money into glass than an expensive body.
Though I own an expensive DSLR, now rarely use it.

This isn't a film vs. digital debate my comments are more to cost of
these new DSLRs to used pro film cameras. My Nikon film N80,
N2000, N6006, F100 and F6 film camera, all purchased use, create
high quality photos. All those cameras total cost is about one fourth
the cost of that Canon.

Going back through past decades looking at the photos taken for
Nation Geographic, Life, Look, Arizona Highway, and their ilk, they
were shot on film; todays digital photos don't appear any better. I'm
buying older film cameras for pennies on the dollar rather than these
expensive new digital cameras. Truly I'm having much fun; YMMV.
