Highlights Cloud Risks
Perhaps this highlights the risk of having your eggs in someone else's basket.

There ARE reasons why for some, having one's data on one's own equipment feels more secure.

Yes, cloud companies may be able to able to afford high-reliability equipment and DR, but it is of no use if they succumb to economic misfortune (or mismanagement).

Clouds offer access from anywhere, but when things don't work they offer NO access from anywhere. Use of clouds also relies on several intermediaries (ISPs, etc) that may also be economically sensitive.

The moral of the story is one of ensuring disaster recovery:
1. Replicate your data between the cloud and local, and
2. Synchronise often.
