Analyst Liability?
Could you imagine if a customer held an analyst liable if their review/recommendation was markedly different than the customer's experience? I know your Devil's Triangle theory would make it near impossible to "pin" it on the analyst review, but it is an intriguing idea given the "mating dance" you describe in this post.
