Well, on the Mustang/airbag matter...
...considering that airbags are a badly-designed and inherently potentially dangerous political-not-engineering "solution" to a misidentified problem ("We don't need to try to find ways to prevent traffic accidents, we need to find a way to protect people when they inevitably *have* accidents."), it's not amazing that a small software glitch could render them definitively dangerous.
