- Well said and dead-on. We are primarily
- a SAP shop. We off-shored our last upgrade for some of the more mundane tasks. Do step A) if you get B) then check move on the next. If there was a single deviation from that process - everything came to a stop because they had no idea what the business was doing. So far every example of off-shoring we had tried has failed miserably. We are still looking at moving some large development there but we are not reducing staff, just using it as augmentation and keep the knowledge in the business where it belongs. I have yet to see off-shoring working for small-medium size businesses, and it has failed miserably in the larger businesses - why? that's open for debate the opponents and proponents all have arguments - both possibly right.
