SAP Taking Advantage of Their Own Mistakes
It's ironic to me that a company like SAP, which helped create the market conditions (i.e., customer frustration) that led to the rapid adoption of the on-demand model, is trying to take advantage of those market conditions now. It is funny to see people like Hasso Platner talk about Web 2.0, mashups, and on-demand - kind of like your grandfather talking about contemporary music. He can try, but it's obvious that he just doesn't get it.
