EDS is toast in Seattle
150 EDS consultants are to be turned lose from the Seattle Office in August. Let me give a theory.

In government, just as in business, there are core competencies.

Where many will argue that IT is a core competency of every on going business, we should recognize that outsourcing IT is desirable and even needed when the business is being acquired, shut down or when it is in temporary startup mode.

None of those scenarios apply to Medicaid. So what is going on? Public Private rip off. It is the same privatization effort we see with Medicare under the bush administration and even more importantly with the 700 mhz spectrum.
