Award winning journalist?
You speak of Smart grid vendors as if they peddle some cheap USB devices that can be had on ebay for a $1 each. Does the enlightened award winning journalist realize that smart grids aren't selected by bidding on ebay. A smart grid deployment is expected to last 15-20 years and utilities spend the commensurate time and money in selecting vendors of this technology. And you would know this, if you had, like a real journalist, bothered to collect facts for this story. But oh wait, blogging with ***-bits gathered from the net is so cool.
