Your title sucks...
It comes off with a sort of negative flavor. Like someone's trying to cram hydrogen down our collective throats.

The reality of the situation - Hydrogen fuel cell cars ARE a good thing. Even your article pointed as much out. A better title might have been something like "Hydrogen isn't dead yet!" or "Hydrogen is still alive and kicking..."

As far as the comment about using precious metals in Honda's design goes - so what? News flash - pretty much EVERY catalytic converter out there these days uses Platinum and Rhodium - both of which are - drum roll please - precious metals.

Will it have an effect on the price of a hydrogen fuel cell car? Eh.. Who knows. They'll be quite expensive at first. But that's the case with EVERY first run bit of technology. Early adopters always pay through the nose to be on the bleeding edge so the company can recoup their R&D costs.
