Let's do some math
Harry:

How much energy is recoverable, year in,
year out, for vertical turbine blades?

What percentage of the US' domestic energy
usage does that amount to?

This is very basic arithmetic.

Likewise, when you factor in the energy
costs needed to make the lithium ion
batteries of the Prius, and assume a 9
year road life for the car, what does it's
actual fuel economy run to?

It's the inability of the
environmentalists to actually think
quantitatively that makes me sigh. Yeah,
numbers are boring, and nobody will march
for Earth Day brandishing
spreadsheets...but if you can't quantify
the benefit, and look at what it costs,
it's just puff pieces.
