Energy overhaul is not the issue
The issue is ENERGY EFFICIENCY.

Products from 30 years ago (specially cars) were more energy efficient than todays.

What is the point of changing technologies, if that technology is less efficient that what we have today.

One example: Biofuels. Not only are we destroying organic material to burn in a car, that vehicle gets less millage than today's gas guzzler.

I have a co-worker who decided to "try green" and got an E85 vehicle. After 2 months he decided to give up on using E85 fuel. He was refilling his tank 3 times for the same millage that it would take to do just one tank of regular gas. Given that his regular fuel millage is barely 14mpg, how was that a "green improvement"??
