Please, no more added bureaucracy
There will always be savings that can be extracted, but the crux is at what cost. To take a very simple example, electricity here in the Pacific NW is $0.10/KWH. Suppose tomorrow the price was suddenly $10 per KWH, a hundred times higher. People would find themselves frequently running around their houses, making sure that room lights and appliances were off. But there's a sacrifice--that's less time they could be devoting to some other activity.

I suggest that people instinctively know how much time and effort they should devote to particular tasks. No one needs a nanny to remind them.
