If enough new and better monkeys flew out of my butt
they could make wind power work, provided they didn't need to eat, breath, and crap.

If if if if if if.

How about a solar tech that doesn't require the mining and use or production of heavy metals or toxic substances to manufacture, coupled with the same for battery tech that lets the energy be stored. Preferrably something transparent that can be spray painted on houses and buildings and windows and roads and all the other places where we've already "claimed" the surface area.

Or safe non intrusive cold fusion. Or something else yet to be discovered.

What we dont need is any more half assed ecotard ideas wasting time and money in the mean time, nor wasting the "political capitol" of the masses current heightened interest.

We don't need crap like todays electric/hybrid cars that are worse for the environment because of their batteries short life span and toxicity.

We don't need anymore crap like CFL bulbs which are actually worse for the environment and exceptionally hazardous to be around.

We don't need anymore crap like ethanol and the other biofuels that are worse for the environment.

We don't need anymore crap policies that just shift manufacturing and energy requirements to less efficient and less eco friendly parts of the world outside our control. Thank god we didn't f ourselves over 30 years ago implementing these kind of crap policies when the ecotards were spouting the global cooling nonsense, or the over population nonsense, or pick your favorite example...

We dont need anymore "global warming" or "climate change" nonsense, junk science, nor Al Gore type blohard hypocrits lining their pockets.

We dont need to scare people that climate change is all man made, all bad, new or atypical.

We don't need to create a false impression of imminence, crisis, or think that "the debate is over", or any other sort of cry wolfishness.

Acting stupidly does more harm to the cause. There's enough reasons to progress energy independence. Sure less foreign influence and less money for terrorism are great. Look how much the lower price has affected Irans funding hamas and hezzbolla (ignore that Obama promised 900 million to help fund hamas terrorism to offset that, ouch) Sure less polution and a cleaner environment are great. But the profit motive is probably still the greatest motivator. It's silly to postulate that there has ever been a lack of funding or incentive to finding cheap clean energy up to this point. That no one cared or was trying because the status quo was good enough.

Does anyone believe that if Ford or Honda could have brought out a full sized SUV that got 250 mpg they wouldn't have?

Does anyone believe that the petrochemical conglomorates don't want to be the first to come up with it before some nanotech startup turns them into buggy whips?

Does anyone believe the worlds militaries like that all their jets and tanks and troop transports become useless without petro fuels? C'mon. Why do you think the carriers and subs have reactors?

The monetary and intellectual investments are there and they always have been. You cant buy or rush a break through. Let's just stop with the moronic ineffective and harmful policies in the mean time...
