New England software company could harvest rewards from carbon cap

Cap and trade can only have one end result

and it isn't cleaner air

First utility rates will go up
poor people will not be able to afford this
the government will blame the greedy utility companies
the public will become outraged
the government will make laws so that the utility rates can no longer go up
the utility company goes bankrupt
the government takes over the utility companies (AKA bailout)
result: bigger government with another industry under it's hat
this might not bug a lot of you liberals who think big business is the problem but the government will never be able to do anything as efficiently as greedy capitalists.
