I live in that world where IT sends nasty emails if they try to do an update during the night and your computer is turned off. But I arrive at work to find a message that "AN UPDATE HAS FORCED A RESTART OF YOUR COMPUTER". If the IT department does an update why don't they just issue a shutdown command rather than a restart. Seems like a no-brainer to me, but just try to get IT to think like that!!.
