- Yet another PC Mobile.
-
Yet another ripoff car to let the PC crowd claim they are doing something to help the environment.
This is a dead end technology. Choosing a hybrid is not now and never has been an economically sound choice. Compared to similar non-hybrid cars that get mileage that isn't all that much less this costs $4K to $5K more.
Comparing this crap mobile to my Hyundai Accent; given that I drive about 24K miles a year and assuming gas is $4.00 per gallon, a hybrid would take 7.75 years to pay for itself in gas savings. I will have driven the Accent into the ground and bought a new car long before then.
What we need is technology that really works and really is economically sound. Not a load of crap that accomplishes nothing except make Al Gore and his buddies feel good about themselves. - Posted by: cornpie Posted on: 03/21/09 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
