Yes, global warming and population groth will create a perfect storm, with

water shortages being one of the biggest problems. There will be way too much salty water in the oceans, causing flooding, and not enough fresh water that humans need for growing crops, manufacturing, domestic use, etc. There is a limit to the human population that the world can support, and also, hand in hand, a limit to temperature increases that the world can support.
