Any idea to turn organic material into fuel will just make things worst
Turning a food source (yes algae is a food source for other food sources) into oil is nothing more than making the situation worst.

Let's see:
- The MPG of a vehicle drops 20% when 10% ethanol is added to normal fuel. Not only forcing the driver to fill up the tank more, but increasing the cost of fuel.
- Last year's "ethanol boom" cause an increase of 30%-40% on the cost of many food items.
- While oil based fuel is now down to $1.80 aveg, the cost of E85 is still in the $3 range. And that is with very heavy subsidies from the federal government.
- Fish eats macro, macro eats algae, algae helps clean and oxygenate the oceans .... what do you think will happen when people start "drilling for algae" to get more "oil". Or are you stupid enough to think that enough algae can be "grown" in "algae farms" to cover the demand.
- As of today, it takes 26 acres of the best know oil making organic material to sustain a single mid-size car for one year. How many acres do you think will take to fuel just one state in the USA?? HINT: The state of Maryland is too small.
