A problem
A problem with the green initiatives is that they do not account for the environmental damage companies outside the US do while producing their products. It's easy to pick on the local guys because their processes are visible. This in turn creates an unlevel playing field for the local businesses. If we want to really push the green agenda, let?s start by imposing environmental tariffs on goods that are entering the country. These tariffs would reflect the costs of being green if the foreign company were to comply with the local standards. We need to stop rewarding the foreign companies for being irresponsible.
