A Consumption Ethic?
I live near the Wild Horse Wind Farm in central Washington and like to hike and ski out near the edge of the property. Since we moved to the valley below the wind farm has become a favorite spot to visit *because* of the presence of the turbines. Long distance transmission lines are far more homely and have a much more meaningful impact on the perceived value of the land than these tall, elegant machines. Honestly, there should be a new ethic of understanding where your power comes from. Kind of like understanding how your meat gets to your table I believe its similarly important to understand who?s been impacted the kWhr your house or your office sucks down.
