The real reason to go with non-gas/diesel technology is that we are currently exporting HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of dollars out of our economy and putting it into the hands of lunatics like Putin and Chavez.
The automobile manufacturers fail to realize that they have put this entire country at risk by not innovating and complaining that gas is too cheap.
