- Japanese Culture Is Different Than Screw Labor USA
-
Screw up a company then jump with a golden parachute, getting bonuses during bad years as well as good as well as taking undeserved credit for improvements, corrupted corporate boards, backdating stock options, getting personal loans from company operating expenses, outright lies told to shareholders and the public,
eliminating legacy obligations and retirement plans, not accepting challenges and looking for already well-functioning companies, bloated and misleading resumes, then not having a clue about the operation or financial situation of their own company ... these indictments should be enough to indicate that the USA corporate culture is rotten, not to be trusted while consumer capitalism is not sustainable. Whenever I hear that companies operate to maximize shareholder value I cringe
because that just isn't so. Use company resources to maximize short term personal profit is more the aim. Really, dividends are virtually extinct.
Then the recent situation where financial industry insiders in the Fed Reserve and Treasury stick up for their "have pity on us for our mistakes and ignorance but we don't know where the money went" bank/insurance/speculator brethren by providing a bailout beyond imagination with no strings attached, no requirement for returning the money, no system in place to determine how the money will be used, or even providing low term loans to the rest of the country.
Yes, let's talk about differences between cultures, business operations, integrity and why there is no need for labor unionizing in Japanese companies. Not to mention exclusive political access by lobbyists that inluence personal interest at the expense of overall good - Posted by: donnydo77@...
